Mother’s Day in Gaza
Quilt Project
The Mother’s Day in Gaza Quilt Project is a compassion and peace-based cultural arts education and fundraising initiative.
The Mother’s Day in Gaza Quilt Project promotes recognition of the humanity of and support for the human rights of the Palestinian people. Through quilt-making, community conversations, and music, the project raises funds for material aid through Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.
We engage Texans and others to support a permanent ceasefire and the long-term recovery of the people of Palestine by making and showing quilts that reflect and honor Palestinian culture, the people who have been lost in the current genocide, and their loved-ones, surviving relatives, and neighbors.
We launched the Mother’s Day in Gaza Quilt Project just before U.S. Mother’s Day 2024. On or around Palestinian Mother’s Day, March 21, 2025, we hope to roll out the large combination of many people’s quilts at the Texas State Capitol Great Walk.
There are many ways you can help!
You can —
* Learn more about Palestinian Culture,
* Talk to family, friends, community members, and your Elected Officials about a Permanent Ceasefire and Recovery in Gaza
* Make a Quilt or Volunteer
* Contribute to Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.
We hope for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and for our own country to stop funding and arming the genocide.
Thank you.
